If I died today I’d be thankful with how I lived life.
It’s not about the years it’s the experience that’s inside.
I burn the gift of time. Push the days forward.
All we are is raindrops but the storm is gorgeous.
So I keep my focus on progression ‘cause your future’s only worth it when you spend it on the present.
Gettin’ older now maybe I’m slowing down.
NAW
I won’t stop till the fire inside is blown out.
Ball of flames uncontained burning straight passion.
One life to live that’s my main anthem.
Master of the ceremony that I call livin’
Follow ambition life’s an expedition and I’m in it like I’m deep in the trenches.
Searching for some real meaning that could leave an impression.
Maybe someday they’ll remember when I’m lost in the endless.
Either way each breath invested I represented as precious.
That’s my message till I’m six feet below.
Right now though I’m on some beast mode free flow.
Next level predator impressive with these metaphors.
Swift river rap ya’ll are reservoirs me I’m going ever forth setting course/ for the promised sea.
These people say I got a lot of spirit like an autumn breeze.
I breathe in deep then I set the fear free to succeed sometime you need to bleed for your dreams.

PRE CHORUS:
One day it all goes away.
The body starts to age and the bones they must break.
I can feel the changes but my time wasn’t wasted.
I embrace where I’m going and I know that I can make it.

CHORUS:

Cause I’m willing to go the distance.
I got my friends they’re right here with me.
It’s a fight to the finish and we rise to the limits so you better believe we got a life worth livin!

VERSE 2

But still I’m killing it and getting all I came for.
Devastate your nature like the mother fucking rain forest.
State your purpose I’m not nervous.
I’ve been blessed with courage.
Learn this name: Rush Sturges.
Fire in my furnace, lighting up these verses.
Inspired little earthling, never nine to fivin’ but I be wooooooorrking!
And I’m certain that the hustle is vital, even though at times I’m stuck up in this fight for survivalvup on some do or die committed risks.
Primitive river kid, LIVE in the sticks so I represent my wilderness.
CONDITIONED as a product of environment.
and honestly not stopping till i’m dying out LIKE MAYANS DID.
my EMPIRE, expansive like trees and branches rivers, valleys and canyons.
My roots across the planet.
Take chances, dancin’ with fate
Goin’ hard in the paint.
it’s hard to maintain when everyday the stakes gettin’ raised but

My LIFE.
It’s all love till the day I’m deceased.
My LIFE
Live on through these creeks and streams.
AND MY LIFE
At peace where the trees can breathe, far beyond the city streets and the siren’s screams.

I got a vision.
I’m gonna fulfill it till they stick me in the river and drift me into the infinite.
I stay committed no matter the limit you better believe.
I got a life worth livin’

It starts and it stops but it always knows.
RIVER take me home!
I am on my way, truth be told.
The life of a saint aint a life on the road but it’s all that I know.
Give me love over gold, troubled waters.
I’m chasing a calling, there’s freedom in falling, there’s freedom in falling.

Chorus
Freedom in falling away.
I am falling.
Freedom in falling away.
I am falling.

Verse 2:
Carved initials on the stones down by the waterside dents upon my flesh from messing with the sharpest knives.
Nothing lasts forever.
Naw I guess it’s part of life mastering the art of flight to let the spirit stop in time.
It rises and falls it’s part of your soul but it’s hard to control.
You can find it in the moment where it all unfolds.
Holding onto nothing cause there’s nothing left to know now let’s go!

Chorus
Freedom in falling away.
I am falling.
Freedom in falling away.
I am falling.

Verse 3
I step out the door like a lonely ghost drifting down the road
I am up on my feet, hands exposed, my dream in the wind as I weave through the flow.
I can feel it inside, a river on fire, troubled waters.
I’m chasing a calling, there’s freedom in falling, freedom in falling.

Freedom in falling away.
I am falling.
Freedom in falling away.
I am falling.

Verse 1

All who wander aint lost.
But we still pay the cost.
Lost in the mix.
Steady tripping in a wilderness of thought.
Pondering the limits where the wild things still walk.
I confess that the pace can be hard.
Made up of stars trying to play the part.
LOVE, it aint for the faint of heart giving it your all as a slave to your art.
Gave a toast to the gods, though I roll with some goblins, snakes in my garden it’s part of the problem.
Lost in the cosmos harvesting knowledge, in-between awake and unconscious.
Just follow the flow young soldier, don’t fall for the schemes they sold yah.
Grab a moment and hold it tight.
Squeeze some love out your life till she treats you right.

Chorus

ALL for love.
We do it all for the love.
This is all for love.
We do it all for the love
2X

Verse 2
Dream on little dreamer.
Just you and your legion of non-believers.
Still searching for some brighter meaning.
That could shine a little light on your darkest demons.
Plus I travel to the farthest regions, where the earth cracks open and the water bleeds in.
Seeking something like a higher purpose late night by the river trying to scribe these verses.
Cause I’m literally living in my element.
There’s venom in my veins that keeps on pumping like a pelton wheel.
I’ve been on my nerves of steel and I’ve been around the world.
Fell with a million girls can’t find one I feel.
That’s not a problem, it’s a process.
When you’re more about the war than just conquering, confident.
I’m gonna make a change, till then I’m out the cage trying to tend the flame.

Chorus

ALL for love.
We do it all for the love.
This is all for love.
We do it all for the love
2X

God damn.
I dunno man why’d I choose the open road of a Nomad?
I suppose we’re all prone to grow old cause time flows fast.
Work hard, play hard, never fucking hold back.
I gotta go like rain on snow, out the door, one more time to the danger zone.
And I been hanging with these crazy souls.
Ready to go for broke until we take the globe.
Flow flawless, courageous but cautious, cunning and melodic.
Got the vision of a prophet.
Living life, lawless.
We travel the continents, aquatic like Lockness.
We totally monstrous STOP IT.
I guess I got a couple points to prove.
But lately I’ve been feeling too consumed and I roll with the chosen few
RIVER ROOTS, one thing stay true.

Chorus

ALL for love.
We do it all for the love.
This is all for love.
We do it all for the love

I’m from NORTHERN CALIFORNIA.
BORN A LOCAL.
Brought up in the mountains near the border of Oregon.
Small town livin’.
Just a one lane road and there’s not a whole lot of industry outside of the dope NO.
BUT I love the FOLKS here.
FREE SPIRITs to OLD TIMERS.
NATIVES, HIPPIES, RED NECKS, HERMITS, MINERS, LIKE minded LIFERS.
I guess it’s kinda RIGHTEOUS GROWING up beneath the stars.
Mountain lions, big foot and bears up in our front yard.
Nearest sizable town 2 and a half hours.
WE make our own electric, hydro and solar power.
INVENTIVE.
‘Cause there are very few distractions.
HALF the reason WHY I found connection to this RAPPING.
ONE ROOM SCHOOL HOUSE, how many people rocking that?
K through 8, ten kids all up in a soccer match.
COMPETITIVE nature lead to more than just a game, ‘cause being raised on the river shaped the man who I became,

Chorus:

Take me home,
Take me home.
To the place that I’m from.
Where the water runs cold from the mountains.
When I’m gone,
When I’m gone.
Let my soul head on home down that Salmon River Road.

They gave us crazy names.
Yewtree and SUNNY beaver, Irie, Ursa, Emry, Rio, Forest, and Galena Seegar.
Merlin, August, Wind, Tesilya, Rocky and Morgana.
With a few normal ones in the mix, like Amanda and Tamara.
Sherry family had a box car to live in up on the Black Bear commune.
I tried my first weed and liquor.
It’s hard to find the words for this community and leaving’s always hard when there’s no place you’d rather be.
But I’ve seen the seasons pass, things stay the same, people have changed but mostly everything remains untamed.
I miss the old days, but embrace the new.
I’m not home as much to visit, but my folks seem to be doing good.
Still there’s a darkness here too.
Like anywhere else.
A hidden hardship in the hills that everyone’s felt.
If nothing else I hope my roots stay strong.
I’ll find my way back home like the salmon when they spawn.

Chorus:

Take me home,
Take me home.
To the place that I’m from.
Where the water runs cold from the mountains.
When I’m gone,
When I’m gone.
Let my soul head on home down that Salmon River Road.

I give praise everyday and stay grateful.
Not a moment goes by where I can’t say I’m not thankful.
For the place I was raised as a child by THE outside world and the river that’s wild.
By the calmness of the FOREST and the ANGER of the winter storms.
The DANGER in the mountains that has kept me coming back for more.
And I can’t IGNORE the indigenous who lived first.
SHASTA, MODOC, TOLOWA, WHOOPA, YUROK, KARUK.
See there’s a beauty here that’s nestled in the endless.
A TRUTH that connects us an unbroken friendship
Strengthened by a WILL to leave SOCIETY to rest caressed in the depths of the wild wild west.
BUT they say the FLESH harbors more than just bones.
I’m still an atheist at heart but got my HOME in my SOUL.
And just know that wherever I GO I take FORKS of Salmon with me till the spirit has flown.

Verse 1

I’ve fallen.
Jumped right off the edge
My heart felt the consequence.
Lost in a dense and distant kinda feeling.
The only thing left to do is start healing.
Hit the earth and accepted my weakness.
Trying to describe the hurt but I was speechless.
Dreaming one day It might drift away.
So I shut you out like a burning flame.
That’s PAIN in the purest form.
I snuck out the door to my peaceful forest.
Wounded at the source.
But stronger at my core.
It’s hard to be at war with one you adore.

CHORUS:

Better! Better! Better!
I’m doing better now,
I’m doing better now.

Verse 2.

Now a days I’m where the sun meets the rain.
Shaped by the changes, scars on my face.
There’s no saints in this life I live and these feelings stay hard to read like hieroglyphs.
I’m reminiscing on an island of content.
Where the fire in your eyes was the only light I kept.
Now I’m silent as the night to ever speak to you again ‘cause ignoring those who love you is the bitterest revenge.
Nonetheless I’ve progressed.
Kept my karma focused.
The art soaked in heart broken dark moments.
Far northern chill, frozen, bliss, these days.
I got a grip on the loneliness and I sing.

CHORUS:

Better! Better! Better!
I’m doing better now,
I’m doing better now.

Verse 3

So much devotion in my ocean stay brave heart.
But when there’s fish in the SEA then I must play shark.
But I was haunted by the constant thought of seeing you with someone else that made it hard to talk.
I’m talking about all of the anger that I harbored on cause the loss made me charge through the swamps and the fog.
Although things fall apart like the leaves of fall it doesn’t make it any easier for being strong.
But it’s a new dawn.
Guess I’m back up on my calling.
Bottom line is I just called to say I’m sorry.
And I’ll keep falling as graceful as I can.
SOMEDAY aint our day but we both understand and

CHORUS:

Better! Better! Better!
I’m doing better now,
I’m doing better now.

BRIDGE:
There’s a feeling we know it.
Full of dirt but we’re growing.
I for one am sure that I… Let you down.
By the morning we’re better.
Full of lines from old letters.
A thousand words that won’t tell her.
I’m doing better now.

CHORUS:

Better! Better! Better!
I’m doing better now,
I’m doing better now.

"We try and justify, what we do. The fact is what we do is unusual. But why this? There are other things to understand. There are other things to do. There are easier and harder things to do. It's not about the hardest thing. I think the people who are drawn to this place... It's a calling. There's other things I can do. But, this is what I should do."

[Verse One:]

Wake up.
Face existence. Days like years. Months, minutes.
Twenty seven cycles i've been part of the changes.
My knife in the tree of life, carve a name in.
Canyons and rains, floods through the plains, blood pump in my veins, we are one in the same.
Like the waves when they break, or the earth as it shakes, the fate we create from our birth to the grave.
Make no mistake soldier.
We're all mortal.
Woven in moments, the flow move us forward.
I hold my breath, then dive to new depths.
I thrive on the edge of what life arrives next.
Sacrifice the excess, invest in my freedom.
Read these seasons , rings on a tree stump.
Freezing finger-tips, bitter like the winter's lips.
Kiss of the wilderness, where the inner spirit live.
I navigate the infinite, passionately interested.
That kid who's taking stabs at what the maximum of limits is.
And if you think it's deep, I suggest you dig farther.
Find yourself a garden , plant those thoughts where the stars are.
And if those heartless sharks eat compassion of the angels.
And mangle every rainbow till the color bleeds to grey tones.
I'll be in my same flow, cradled in the desolate.
Invested, forever, asking the same questions.

[PRE CHORUS:]

WHO AM?
A child inside a lifeline, time gone by but the time is I.
WHO ARE YOU?
A view that I will not perceive, but all that exists in you is in me.
WHO ARE WE?
The seasons engrained in the hardship. The product of darkness.
The monster that's conscious.
US. The taste of the dust. The way of the one from our old to the young.

SING!

[CHORUS:]

WHO AM I?!?!

THE WICKED AND THE WISE INTERTWINED/
THE THIRD EYE VISION THAT RESIDE IN THE MIND/

WHO AM I!?!?!?

THE FLICKER IN THE FIRE/
THE CRY OF THE BEAST WHO DERIVED FROM THE WILD/
NOW CONFINED/

WHO AM I!?!?!?!

THE RISE OF THE TIDE/
THE SILENCE OF NIGHT THAT WILL SWALLOW THE LIGHT JUST TO THRIVE/

WHO AM I!?!?!?

I AM ALIVE/
I HAVE SURVIVED/
IN TIME I WILL DIE/

THAT IS LIFE.

[Verse Two:]

The master and commander.
Sailing for some answers to fasten me down like anchors.
Cause i've been taking chances in the violence of the wild sea.
No light house to guide me, I'm flying a blind dream.
I breathe my spirit on beats, let it define me.
And speak clarity, mountain stream on a high peak.
My life at light speed, moving through the mayhem.
Consumed in the day to day patience, they say is aging.
Afraid, cause it's painfully murderous what the verdict is.
Impermanence, returning into the earth again.
I merge with the current, KILL serpents and reign victorious.
Modern day WARRIOR, conquering the conformity.
Break it off like cornices, and smash your whole fortress in.
Absorbed by the FORCE, not a soul to tell the story lives.
And with that destiny I take a minute to adjust.
Conflicted by a vision that my mission's in flux.
But we're swimming in the RUSH, far beyond the threshold.
And sometimes, to hold on, you just gotta let go.
My narrative is EBB AND FLOW.
The vessel in my FLESH and BONES.
An epicenter where the messenger control the metronome.
Values, balance, harnessing your talents.
Throw it all down and accept any challenge.
My chapel stay the mountains, till i'm hanging at the gallows.
And my soul afterglow, through the valley of the shadows.

Hendri Coetzee Audio Sample:

"There's a reason that death and rebirth are so close to each other in spirituality. And i'm not saying I enjoy knowing i'm going to die, or I could die. I don't. It's a process. It starts a process of reassessing your life. And it makes it really hard not to live as best you can. When you know, that you might not live forever."

I’ve been humble but now i’m ready to rumble.
Welcome to the jungle the hunter is now the hunted.
I’m ripping this like machettes, don’t test me I bring it deadly and steadily built my rep up like the legend of the Yeti.
I’m out there, a mythical sorta creature with visible scars and features.
From missions beyond the deep end I’m feasting on all you weaklings, savage as fucking Africa.
Trample you into blackness and leave your temple for scavangers.
The radical, passionate, partying supernatural, brain like an over acid dose.
Rage till my souls a blackened hole.
I’m half animal, half crazy, with the strength of twelve cave men, smash tracks down like boots do through wet pavements.
See me and Sapient mix like petrol and flames, intersect intellect and only getting better with age.
It’s hard to maintain, being this hard at our game.
Saturate brains when these flood gates break and drain lakes EXPLAIN!

CHORUS:
Sapient: When you reach the point where your heart is raw.
Rush: As the sun tucks away from the canyon walls.
Sapient: We leap across where the earth is cracked.
Rush: When you put it on the line there’s no turning back.
Sapient: When you reach the point where we cope within.
Rush: We exist in the now and commit to risk.
Sapient: We leap across where the earth is cracked.
Rush: Cause over the horizon there’s no turning back.

Sapient:
I'm a fool for gold but don't get it confused.
I won't ever betray what I be if I I'm a fool for gold but don't get it confused.
I won't ever betray what I be if I build it they'll come.
I'm Attila the Hun, it's the thrill of the hunt chasing my dreams.
I don't wade in the creek, I'm swimming up the mainstream with a blade in my teeth.
I've strayed from the civilized ways of the sheep, I won't wait for my freedom I lost faith in your kings.
I dance for the rain and pray to the beat, my prayers were received no more baring my teeth.
This wasteland is barren and bleak, it's time to go, across the chasm down the proverbial rabbit hole.
Followed by a pack of wolves at my back there's no turning back there's no option to circle B, how calm can a person be.

Planet traveler dope genetics Gattaca.
Flow so masterful all ILL natural.
Roam like animals, I get around cyclical, the northern born spitter who be pouring storms biblical.
Beneath the ripples and the waves of time.
I am physically addicted to a state of mind.
Unto the gaze of the native and ancient eyes.
I gave my faith to the ways of the sacred wild.
I’m deeper than a cataract, smash you like an avalanche, sweep you in crevaces leave you gasping where the blackness trapped.
Rattler snap rap with a splash of adrenaline, and every drop that drips I bring along my fallen brethren.
I’ve been at this for decades.
Flesh torn, wet face, a cracked back, stood back up, and still set flames.
I’m DIE HARD, insane, livin at a quick pace.
RUSH is the given name, sharper than a switch-blade.

Chorus:

X4
It’s just you against the air, against the earth, against the water.
Honor all the four directions let the spirit take you farther.

It’s just me and my will against this wilderness.
Will the elements get the best of me?
Freezing temperatures are testing me, guestimating in the dark.
Imagery, hearing sounds, amplified by the mountains, insects flying in my face coming face to face with the fear.
Feeling primitive but the will to live keeps me moving forward in my search for the feeling that I’m flying off the radar off the grid.
Witnessing the true beauty of what god give.
Rivers, skies, rocks, slid off a cliff, lift moisture from the earth.
Rainforest the rebirth, dry desert cracked earth, worth more than the monetary.
A dark cabin in my monastery, buried into all that is sacred, your soul is naked and it’s written to the earth and what it has forsaken.
In this adventure your heart is strictly for the taking, feel your fears breaking.

Chorus:

X4
It’s just you against the air, against the earth, against the water.
Honor all the four directions let the spirit take you farther.

TO RISK it all for the passion, I can't tell you if it's worth it till they shut my casket.
Dragon blood in our veins, man we had to have it.
Like the fire aint gonna stop until we burn to ashes.
Turn time backwards, word to your writing your said "you'd never live to see a greater day."
That's inspiring, bottom line is we all will stay strong as the heat resonate like an African sun.
I demonstrate what I love to the beat of a drum and we dance with the devil but it's just fun.

And is it really worth it huh?

This LIFE LIKE A TIME LAPSE.
Things that we doing commin with a heavy price tag.
I block it out like a line back and ride past, light up the fire bru and watch the fire flys hatch.
I'm rappin out these feelings to try and understand it, cuz dealing with it cuts deep like the planets canyons.
What you did was challenging, start to the finish.
I bet in heaven you will find a way to farther limits.
No gimmicks man, I raise a toast TO EXPLORE OR DIE down a jungle road.

(chorus)
On and on and on out into the unknown down a jungle road.
River take me home now, death stay on mind.
But I find myself right here where I’m supposed rest on the breath of the wilderness we will be kept.

Now I have no idea what comes after death but it's true you accepted it in the flesh. We had mutual respect on separate quest, and they converged for a minute at the rivers edge.
Like a stampede of wildebeests across the horizon you always charged hard through the rawest environments.
The world keep spiralin toward the great unknown and just to live is a risk you know more than most.
But yo I’m just glad we had a chance meet and may your spirit run free with the savage beasts, forever, peace.
On your quest through time and space or wherever this takes us on the path we make.
It's a numbers game and that parts the hardest in this heart of darkness.
Though you kept your guard up I don't know what to say that could make things change, but you blazed the way so I just say thanks.

(chorus)
On and on and on out into the unknown down a jungle road.
River take me home now, death stay on mind.
But I find myself right here where I’m supposed rest on the breath of the wilderness we will be kept.

Now the forest breathe peace and the river speak truth and the end is what you are before you wore those shoes.
I get confused with my choices.
LIKE the RISK aint worth it but that waterfall voice make me feel my purpose.
And earth in her essence don't practice compassion, now she finally won the battle so we tackle sadness.
STRAIGHT on to be remembered in song, forget god, this is nature, and she's stronger than ya'll.
WE GOT nothing to prove. one life to loose.
Maybe it's on our death bed, maybe tomorrow at noon.
I aint consumed by it though, I put the fear to the side.
LIKE a night in shining armor on his final ride.
It's white light when I think about the life you lead, warrior death but it doesn't make it better.
My friend, I’m just paying respect and admiration, stay brave through graceland or wherever this takes us.

(chorus)
On and on and on out into the unknown down a jungle road.
River take me home now, death stay on mind.
But I find myself right here where i'm supposed res on the breath of the wilderness we will be kept.

There's no time like the present.
That's why I’m taking in, each breath, like it's the last I might inhale forever.
Putting it in perspective like a panoramic, captured on camera. My birds eye view, over the planet, expanding.
Sinking, Atlantis, but it's actually happening.
Moving rapidly like the eyes of humanity fast asleep.
But aint no way i'll stay complacent.
We need to break the chains of this financial system that viscously enslaves us.
I want to take it back like Cave Men, ancient, basic, no seven day creation, faithless.
Exploration.
In this wilderness of consequence.
Deliver honestness, common sense, not dominance.
The problem seems endorsed by the dreams of our culture.
Bleed the resources into glorified fortunes.
The rivers into reservoirs, my forests into floor boards, absorb everything, I need MORE! MORE! MORE!

Now breathe.

(exhale)

CHORUS:

I see days go by.
Watching the sun-rise again.
Like a road that has no end.
Or an old familiar friend.
I set the journey as my destination.
We'll stay connected like constellations.
Soon I will be home.
For now I am gone.

[Verse Two:]

Let me travel to where this started.
Like stardust evolving into a garden.
Blossoming, like the dream that we harvest inside the monster. Stay alive constant, time watcher, All of this I am a part of.
Lost inside the chaotic carnival of the conscious.
Like autumn leaves that fall, then dissolve into winter.
The seasons personify, what it's like to be living.
Given the present circumstances, i'll take my chances with death. Testing her every caress, makes it less stressful to accept. AH YES!
A breath of fresh air.
Out into the clear sky.
Frontier of mind.
Good times, outside the confined.
The city life, turning it's citizens into victims, in this existence, you get one chance, to push the distance.
Positioned for the path of least resistance, like rivers.
We all carve these canyon walls into the system to fit in.
But in my heart i'll never give in.
All I got is ambition.
An addiction to break the limits build a vision to finish and then BREATHE.

(exhale)

[CHORUS:]

I see days go by,
Watching the sun rise again.
Like a road that has no end.
Or an old familiar friend.
I set the journey as my destination.
We'll stay connected like constellations.
Soon I will be gone.
For now I’m HOME.

home now I’m home

Now i'm home (X4)
Soon I will be gone (X3)
For now I am home.

(CLOSING)

Another year gone by.
Another sunset.
Another sunrise.
NO. I'm not done yet.
I can't rest until I finish the quest.
And even then, i'll be asking the question, like what's next?

Verse 1

Behind my eyes there’s the universal story.
Between my lies lives some truth I can’t ignore it.
This life can make you want to conform and forfeit, ignore this, divorce it, do your own thing, that’s what’s important.
I’ll never call it quits, get lost inside these swamps i’m in, trudging through the jungle of mayhem they call the conscious trip
I don’t know what life is.
Maybe we’re just dreaming
But I’m still hung up on freedom, like will she ever leave me?
But on it flows…
Here we go another cross roads.
Wallow in some sorrow, lost friends up in the cosmos.
We miss ‘em every single day but we move forward.
They’re everywhere now, the breeze in a deep forest.
I don’t claim to have answers or even real solutions, I’m just as confused as you
Only human.
The truth is I wanna do what I love.
Here today, gone tomorrow till I’m one with the setting sun.

Melody Shapiro Sample:

Dreams are being in control of the flow of life.
To be able to move through the challenges that will always be thrown at us.

Chorus (Vaughn Sims):

OH NOW! It’s a long way home now and I’m on my own now.
Out on the road it is wild INSIDE me there’s a fire igniting and I don’t need society cause out here I’m rising.
I’m rising high.

Another day, waking up kinda broken, still can’t understand why it’s fun drinking poison.
Destroying myself with an emphasis on health.
It’s kinda funny how we build the spirit up to let it melt.
They say you need the lows to have the highs, still trying to justify pride, where the ego hides.
But I reside in a child that’s inside of a person, trying to calculate the risks and ask myself if it’s worth it?
Last year I found some purpose, to quit being carnivorous, still conflicted if my actions actually make a difference, but I believe one man can make the world change and the shift of mountains starts with the push of one grain.

Melody Shapiro Sample:

I’m apprehensive and I’m curious.
It’s mysterious, I don’t know what it’s gonna be and I won’t find out until I’m there.

Chorus (Vaughn Sims):

OH NOW! It’s a long way home now and I’m on my own now.
Out on the road it is wild INSIDE me there’s a fire igniting and I don’t need society cause out here I’m rising.
I’m rising high.

Melody Shapiro Sample:

Life as a whole it’s scary, it’s joyful, it’s terrifying, it’s beautiful, it’s all of those things.

Imagine everything you wanted in one life.
That’s why I stay up nights, battling the moon till the sun shines.
Years have gone by, one thing is clear to me, my music represents me.
It’s hard to hate sincerity.
To everybody near to me, I love you and i’m grateful for putting up with my devils and hanging with my angels.
Lately I ain’t shameful, lately something’s changing.
Used to care about the fame, but it died out with aging.
Creation is the key to our success, without it we are nothing but with it we can reflect.
Now I connect each breath, it brings me closer to death and every step that I take I feel i’m testing the edge.
And yes, I guess a part of that is why I feel content, but in my own defense/ I have no regrets yet and I accept in the end i’ll settle down like the rest of us.
Until then it’s RUSH and mother fucker I ain’t lettin up.

Chorus (Vaughn Sims):

OH NOW! It’s a long way home now and I’m on my own now.
Out on the road it is wild INSIDE me there’s a fire igniting and I don’t need society cause out here I’m rising.
I’m rising high.

Melody Shapiro Sample:

It puts me in touch with the mystery of life and death, and I don’t think we can understand it, and I don’t feel there are answers to everything in our lifetime and there don’t have to be.
It’s just wonderful being in the mystery.
